Client: Global Industries Landfalls Provision of 100t winch spread and personnel for 2 N° 8” landfall pipelines for the Perenco Pipeline Project Location: Port of Soyo, Angola Client: Angola LNG Engineering, Design and Feasibility Studies A Pre-FEED Desk Study for the shore approach, beach crossing, landlines and inland water crossings for three gas pipelines that will landfall on the Angolan coast to the west of the Port of Soyo. Angola LNG provided the technical specifications. The length of the routes considered were 2.4km for the landfalls and 9.0km for the landlines. The proposed landline route involved the crossing of two waterways and large sections of low mangrove swamp. The specification called for the three pipelines to be laid in single offshore trench. Location: Congo Client: Acergy, France Landfall Provision of 270 Te linear winch, wire and personnel for landfall installation Location: Tema and Takoradi, Ghana Client: Horizon Engineering and Landfalls Phase 1 - Installation engineering for WAGP landfalls at Tema and Takoradi in Ghana. Horizon also awarded L&M the winch supply and project management. Phase 2 - Provision of a 272 Tonne capacity linear winch, pull wire and personnel for WAGP landfalls at Tema and Takoradi in Ghana. Location: Mnazi Bay, Tanzania Client: Artumas (Canada) Engineering, Inter Island and Estuary Crossing A 6.5km long crossing of Mnazi Bay. A 300mm concrete coated gas pipeline bottomed pulled using a 300 T linear winch. Works also included the tie-in of the pipeline to the well head. Location: Zuara Desalination Plant, Libya Client: Sidem/Geocol s/c to Besix Engineering and Submarine Intake Pipelines Engineering and installation of 2 No. 1200m long 1500mm dia concrete weight coated steel intake pipes The total in-air weight of the pipe strings was 6500 Tonnesand the 2 pipes were installed together using the off bottom method based on pipe buoyancy and chains. Location: Brass River, Nigeria Client: ITP / ConocoPhillips / KBR Engineering, Design and Feasibility Studies Brass River LNG Conceptual Study for the installation of multiple cryogenic and service pipelines, using subsea bundle pull and tow technology. The options reviewed were 8 km and 16km long pipelines out to a mooring dolphin in shallow water. Location: Mellitah, Libya Client: Agip Gas BV (s/c Besix ) Engineering, Sealine, SPM and Trenching WLPG Wafa Coastal Plant Jetty and Marine Export Facilities. Installation of 1.3km x 26” concrete weight coated Sealine, PLEM, Riser, spool pieces, CALM anchorage chains, CALM buoy and the associated under buoy and floating hoses. The Sealine was pulled offshore around a curve and through a pre-excavated ridge. The offshore 0.8km was post-trenched with the L&M TM7 between the new mono-buoy and jetty to give 1.5m cover. Chains for the CALM buoy were test loaded prior to installation. The pipeline system was leak tested from the riser through to the CALM buoy prior to hand over. Location: Ascension Island, Mid Atlantic Client: Defence Estates Process Works consisted of a 950m x 250mm pipeline spurring off the 250mm PSD. This enabled fuel to be pumped directly to the Power Station storage tanks (instead of road tankering fuel from the PSD to the power station). L&M constructed an above ground pipeline, carried out a hot-tap connection on the 250mm pipeline and, at the power station end, installed various control valves, a filter and a meter. Additional work included the construction of 2 No. open topped culverts at road crossings (gratings installed to carry traffic) and a concrete bund at the site of the valves and meter. To enable controls and communications from each end, 4.5 km of multicore armoured cable was installed; this was strapped to the pipeline and connected to control panels at both ends. Location: Ascension Island, Mid Atlantic Client: Defence Estates Process and Tankage The design, procurement and construction of additional facilities and complete refurbishment of the existing petroleum supply depot on Ascension Island, a strategic refuelling station situated in the South Atlantic. The works comprise the demolition of seven existing tanks and their associated piping, and the provision of two new fully bunded, welded steel aviation fuel storage tanks, each 25m diameter and 14 metres high with a total capacity of 12 million litres. Location: Natural Gas Liquefaction Bonny Island, Nigeria Client: Shell High Pressure Steel Pipelines Construction of gas and water pipelines, including piping, mechanical, E&I, vessels, pumps, water wells, scrapertraps & cables on Soku Transferpoint. The gas pipeline was 43km x 900 & 750 mm and rated at 80 bar pressure. Location: Fac 1453/1454 Oil & Flowlines, Nigeria Client: Chevron High Pressure Steel Pipelines Construction of 29 km x 450 mm, concrete coated pipeline with 2.8 km river crossing and construction of coated flowlines total 153 km, in various diameters from 200-300mm, and pressure ratings from 25-75 bar Location: Oil Loopline, Cawthorn Channel - Bonny Terminal, Nigeria Client: Shell High Pressure Steel Pipelines Construction of a 24 bar oil pipeline in swamp area, including a 3400m x 600mm river crossing and 24 km pipeline Location: Lobito, Angola Client: Sonangol Tanker Terminals, SPM and Sealines Design and installation of 5 point CBM for 40,000 dwt tankers and the associated sealines 3 x 200mm, 168mm and 100mm dia x 1km subsea discharge lines. Location: Iwopin, Nigeria Client: Nigerian National Paper Manufacturing Corporation Submarine Outfalls and River Crossings The laying of 14.7km x 900mm effluent pipeline, including 6km of creek crossings and a 1.7km outfall. Main carrier pipe was Glass Reinforced Plastic, which was sleeved for the crossings and outfall. Outfall pipe pulled by barge-mounted winch and jetted into the seabed.
